We are committed to local sourcing so as many of our ingredients as possible are from local suppliers in Somerset.
Withy Kitchen is based on our family farm in the heart of glorious Somerset countryside, where we enjoy an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as luxury dairy products right on our doorstep.
We believe in using only the best ingredients, so naturally we use only those local suppliers that meet stringent quality standards. And once we have prepared our vegetarian food with fresh local ingredients, we use blast freezing to seal in the goodness.
Our vegetarian ready meals are frozen in minutes in an air blast freezer, which means that no large ice crystals can form within the food.
The speed of the process also means that that there is no need to use artificial additives or preservatives and that the textures, tastes and natural colour of our locally sourced vegetarian dishes are perfectly retained.
What’s more, because our vegetarian ready meals are frozen immediately after they are cooked, they have a really long shelf life.
